Fine, I admit… maybe for 15 seconds

Every day you cross my mind

But when it comes to love

The most trashed thing is time!

 

Those 15 seconds are longer

Than 15 lives

All my locked up feelings

They just unfurl and revive

 

It’s like all my day, I just

Wait for those precious seconds

Where I prove wrong

All that I had reckoned

 

The whole day I keep the

River of my tears sealed

So I do not drown

But in those 15 seconds

All of it just cascades down

In those moments

I am weak and unarmed

The rest of the hours are

Just hushed before the storm

 

I wish I could miss you

The rest of the day too

So it lifts off the weight

From those 15 seconds

Where I live yet I die

Where the start and end collide

 

No, I do not miss you all the time

Yes, I’ve forgotten you… almost

I thought a few seconds wouldn’t

Make much difference

But now those 15 seconds

I worship in reverence

 

But, I think it’s safe to say

I’ve almost forgotten you

Except when in those

15 hopeful seconds

I give in when you beckon…
